Extinction Landscapes
2021-
In progress.
A series of films about places where extinction is actively underway. The landscapes in these films are places where direct and indirect connections can be made between human activity and the extinction of a species or vast disruption of a biome. Some are historical and some are actively undergoing drastic change, accelerated by human activity on the planet. Some are places of scientific interest, such as research stations, or experimental environments. Some are acting as analogues for scenarios on Earth or other planets which connect to the issue of extinction in various conceptual ways.
