Visiting Lecturer, Curator - Graduate Media Design Practices,Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA  
During the spring 2012 semester, I curated a series of lectures and site tours which relate to the current theme of communications infrastructure as well as co-taught a graduate media design studio course on speculative future applications of and developments in communication technologies and infrastructure. The group consisted of graduate media design students and faculty from the School of Media Design at Art Center, including the Chair, Anne Burdick.
Visiting Artist - Corcoran College of Art and Design, Washington, D.C.
During the DC 5x5, a public art initiative in which I was a curator, I was invited to participate in a lecture at the Corcoran and to meet with students of the college to discuss their work in context to art in the public realm.

2011

Visiting Fellow - School of Architecture, University of Applied Arts, Vienna, Austria  
During two month-long visits at the School of Architecture and Landscape Art in the spring and fall, I led a design workshop of 12 graduate students, taught a studio course, organized field trips for students and faculty, and produced an essay and design brief I developed for publication. This continued in April 2012 when I led faculty from the University of Applied Arts through two interpretive tours of urban and desert landscapes in Southern California, which were contextualized in a publication produced later that year entitled: Landscape: Editing Spatial Relations, Volume 2, Summer/Autumn 2012
Visiting Artist - Braunschweig University of Art, Braunschweig, Germany 
In May 2011, I was invited to Braunschweig, Germany to lecture, meet with graduate students, review work, and conduct an interpretive tour / research photography workshop.

2010

Visiting Fellow - School of Architecture Planning and Landscape, Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, England 
From June-July 2010, I was invited to Newcastle as a research fellow in the Global Urban Research Unit, a interdisciplinary group of academics in the Geography and Architecture Schools there. I presented lectures and engaged in seminars as well as researched, designed, and performed two distinct tours of the region. These bus tours involved students, faculty, and members of the public as well as writers and artists from Newcastle and various nearby cities.

In July, 2009, I led a workshop and organized a field trip with Neal White as a collaborative field exercise, under the auspices of The Office of Experiments, for students and faculty at the Slade School of Fine Art & the Department of Geography at University College London.
Visiting Artist, Conference Participant - University College Falmouth, Falmouth, England
In May, 2010, I was invited to a week-long research residency in Cornwall, England, which culminated in a conference proceeding, lecture, and bus tour / outdoor pedagogical workshop about the telecommunications legacy of Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula. Tour participants included curators, artists, and art historians as well as graduate students from the Royal College of Art, London and University College Falmouth, Falmouth.

Organized a bus and walking tour of research & military landscapes for students and faculty, with collaborator Neal White in connection with an exhibition at the John Hansard Gallery

2008

Visiting Artist - University of Houston, Houston, TX
Organized and conducted student and faculty tours of the industrial (petroleum) landscape in Houston in connection with a 2008-2009 residency and exhibition at UH, as collaborator of The Center for Land Use Interpretation.

2005

Visiting Artist - College of Architecture, Texas A&M University, College Station, TX  
In the spring of 2005, I led a workshop and organized field trips for students and faculty at the Department of Visualization, College of Architecture. Destinations covered sites from Waco, to Huntsville, to the Woodlands NW of Houston. My 3 week residency culminated in an exhibition I designed with the students.
